Johan Reuter world has been associated with the Royal Theatre soloist ensemble since 1996. He is one of the most internationally acclaimed and sought-after Danish singers.

Among Johan Reuters future assignments are Orest in Richard Strauss' Elektra at the BBC PROMS in London, debut as Wotan in Wagner's Die Walküre at the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, and Dr. Schön in Berg's Lulu at De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam - all in season 14/15.

Johan Reuter has released a wide host of CDs, including recordings of Kunzen’s Holger Danske, Carl Nielsen’s Maskarade, Schubert’s Winterreise (in Danish), Rare Verdi with rare Verdi arias, and a CD with lieder by Richard Strauss, Nielsen and Børresen. He furthermore appears on a number of DVDs, including The Copenhagen Ring, Bo Holten’s The Visit of the Royal Physician, Mozart’s Zaïde, Birtwistle’s Minotaur and Janáček's The Macropulos Case.
