Why did you start dancing?
My sister was dancing ballet when I was a child. One day I saw a ballet class and afterwards I was completely captivated. The ballet caught me and from that point I was completely sure that ballet was what I was supposed to do. My parents were not that happy about the idea, so I was forced to dance around in the living room, the kindergarten or a lot of supermarkets. After some time my parents realized that I was probably not going to be a football star.

Why is ballet still relevant today?
In a time where everything has to be electronic and mechanical, it is easy to take the arts for granted. A lot of young people have never experienced the power of the arts, which I really think is a shame, because I personally live and breathe for the arts. It is important to include all ages in art, because everybody needs to feel this pleasure.

What is your favorite ballet?
I have two favorite ballets: My favorite story ballet is Romeo and Juliet by John Neumeier with the music of Sergei Prokofiev. With the powerful music and the signature choreography you disappear into a romantic world that you don’t want to leave. In this tragic story it is almost impossible not to be moved. My other favorite ballet is a bit more atypical, as it doesn’t have a story: Agon by George Balanchine with music by iconic Igor Stravinsky. With its unique movements, formations and musicality this ballet manages to kick ass and amaze the audience every time it is danced!

Where can we find you on a day off?
I am a B-person with a big B! I am very lazy by nature and that’s why people would find me in bed or on the couch watching TV or sleeping the day away.

What are your hobbies?
Being with friends and family (and party a bit). Besides that, I do a bit of modeling here and there.

Fun fact:
My remarkable legs are 125 cm long.
