Bryant Steenstra

Nationality: American

Born: February 16, 1989

Education: Graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School in 2007. After graduating, he became an apprentice with the National Ballet of Canada.

Career: Royal Danish Ballet 2008-present.

Repertoire: Major roles include soloist in The Unsung (Jose Limon) and Nikiya's Slave in La Bayadere(Nikolaj Hubbe).
His repertoire also includes various roles in Symphony in C(George Balanchine), Symphony in Three Movements (George Balanchine), A Midsummers Night Dream (John Neumeier), Romeo and Juliet (John Neumeier), The Lady of the Camellias (John Neumeier), Sleeping Beauty (Christopher Wheeldon), Napoli (Nikolaj Hubbe), Swan Lake (Nikolaj Hubbe & Silja Schandorff), Onegin (John Cranko), La Sylphide (Nikolaj Hubbe), A Folk Tale (Nikolaj Hubbe),  Les Gentilhommes (Peter Martins), Theme and Variations (George Balanchine), and Etudes (Harald Lander). Bryant has also performed the role of Bob in the SIGNA & Corpus production of Feberhavnen.

Scholarships: Bryant was a scholarship student at Canada’s National Ballet School.

Other: At the National Ballet of Canada, Bryant performed in James Kudelka’s productions of The Nutcracker, An Italian Straw Hat, and Cinderella. He has also performed the Black Swan Pas de Deux from Petipa's Swan Lake in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
