Katerina Plachá

Education: 2003-2012 study Dance Conservatory of Prague, 2012/2013 as apprentice in Semperoper also attended Palucca schüle, Work experience, 2012-2014- apprentice in Semperoper 

Career: Member of Corps de ballet at RDB since 2014.

Other engagements: Classical repertoire: Pas de deus La Papillon, Les Sylphides-mazurka and pas de deux, Bournonville pas de deus Villiam Tell, Suite en blanc-pas de cinq (S. Lifar) and Medeora in Corsaire.
Modern repertoire: In 2013 she was chosen to first cast by choreographer Pontus Lidberg for his new creation built on 5 couples - Noprdic Lights of Semperoper., Indigo Rose (J. Kylian) and stones choreography of J. Kodet.
Furthermore she has performed around the world in: The Dance Festival in Tokyo (2008), A Ballet Intership in The Netherlands and the summer ballet school of Marina Antonova and Guy Allboy in Dresden (2009), Tour in China - Chopin en pointes (Les Sylphides) (2010), Gala Show at the opening of the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" Berlin (2011) and a fourteen-day internship in New York at The New York Univerity - Tisch School of Arts (2011).

Prizes and scholarships: In 2010 she received the third prize in The Grand prix award Olomouc competition, in 2009 she won the first prize in The International Contest i Brno, in 2008 she took part in The Prix Carpeaux competition in Valenciennes and won the second prize.
