*************************************************************

What was the first ballet you saw?
The first ballet I saw was A Midsummer Night’s Dream by George Balanchine at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and I remember I was enchanted by it. Everything about it was magical and exciting. It was after seeing that ballet that I decided I wanted to be a ballerina. A few years later at La Scala Ballet School I was lucky enough to be one of the few children to get picked to be part of the same ballet and dance with the company. A Midsummer Night’s Dream definitely has a special place in my heart and I dream, one day, to be part of it again.

Why do you dance?
I dance because I love the way I feel when I do it, and because I can’t see myself doing anything else.
