Gitte Lindstrøm
Principal Dancer
Gitte was admitted to the Royal Danish Ballet School in 1984, she became an apprentice in 1992 and a member of the corps de ballet in 1994. She was made soloist in 1997 and promoted to principal dancer in 1998. 

She also works as a ballet teacher at The Royal Danish Ballet School.

At The Royal Danish Theatre
Principal parts: Tatjana in Onegin, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Ella in Legs of Fire, Myrtha in Giselle, Kitri and the Dryad Queen in Don Quixote, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, the Princess in The Nutcracker, Teresina in Napoli, the Ballerina in Etudes, and Anna in Anna Karenina. She has furthermore performed in Hallelujah Junction, Octet, Apollon, Violin Concerto, Seranade, Stepping Stones, Return to a Strange Land, Suite en Blanc, Mahler’s 5th Symphony, The Odyssey, A Folk Tale, Le Conservatoire and Abdallah.

Soloist parts: Symphony in C, Violin Concerto, The Odyssey, A Folk Tale, Palmyra in Abdallah and the pianist in The Lesson.

Other engagements
Gitte Lindstrøm has performed with the New York City Ballet (January-February 2002) and with the Royal Swedish Ballet (March 2005). She has performed across most of Europe, China, Japan, Africa, Brazil and the USA.

Creations
Impénétrable songe by Patrick Delcroix, Peter Martins Hallelujah Junction and Octet, Jo Strømgrens Air and Tim Rushtons Requiem.
