Became an apprentice with the Royal Danish Ballet in 1998, a member of the corps de ballet in 2000 and was appointed soloist in 2005. In 2010 she was appointed Principal Dancer after her debut as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake.

Has performed throughout Europe in Spain, Italy, France, Russia, Deutschland and the USA in numerous of Bournonville ballets, such as La Sylphide, Napoli and A Folk Tale at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and at Lincoln center in New York, Romeo and Juliet in Tokyo. Also travelled with 'Soloists of Royal Danish ballet' in Brasil.
These choreographers have created works on Susanne Grinder: Johan Kobborg, Sidi Larbi, Jacopo Godani, Matjash Mrozewski, Yuan Yuan Wang and Sebastian Kloborg.
