Carling Talcott was awarded the C W Strande Grant in 2011. She was featured in the documentary 1, 2, 3, Dance(December Films/Julien Ringdahl), which was a selection for the FIFA Film Festival in Montreal in 2012 and won the Silver Award at the FIPA Film Festival in 2012. In 2015, she played ballet dancers in De Standhaftige (Asta Film/Lisa Ohlin) and The Danish Girl (Working Title Films/Tom Hooper). Carling also played the part of Ashley on the Golden Globe-nominated American miniseries Flesh and Bone on Starz network in 2015.
