Highlights from the repertoire with the Royal Danish Ballet: It was amazing for me to get the opportunity to dance the Solo Girl in George Balanchine’s Rubies – Jewels. Falling Angels by Jiří Kylián was also so great to dance, because it is a total girl power piece. I also have to say Giselle, where I did one of the two Willies, because it was my first solo performance and because you are a part of telling the beautiful and strong story.
Other engagements: On the Front Row, documentary,DR3, 2017, and The Horizon by Catherine Poher, The Royal Danish Playhouse, 2015

Why did you start dancing?
I had a crazy amount of energy when I was a kid and I wanted to be a princess ballerina as many other little girls. But I found out that it was actually the hard work and the discipline I really liked. And then of course it is an amazing and fairytale-like world, that is very unique to grow up in.
Why do you think that ballet is still relevant today?
Ballet can tell a story a way other art forms are not capable of. Because it is an art form without words, and the story is told only by dance and music, there is more space for the audience to interpret the story with their own fantasy. Besides that, it is a fascinating art form because it is a mix of both classical art and elite sport.
What is your favorite ballet?
I have so many … but Romeo and Juliet is one of the top ones.
Who is your favorite pointe shoe maker?
Unfortunately, Freed of London’s F maker has retired, so now I use Fish instead.

Pancakes!

Italy!
Do you have any hobbies?
Study an HF and Kammerballetten.
Where can we find you on a day off?
Swimming in the ocean – both in the winter and in the summer – with my boyfriend Alex and our dog, Ani.
