Brahms & Bruckner

Brahms & Bruckner

Symphony Concert #4

This production is no longer available - see our current repertoire here.

Let your senses be seduced and enchanted by two of classical music's great composers.

Both Brahms and Bruckner mastered the art of being able to seduce and enchant their listener with a wonderful interplay of harmonies and musical themes. Nevertheless, it is two very different musical landscapes that audiences will hear when maestro Hartmut Haenchen takes the conductor’s podium in the last symphony concert of the season.

Johannes Brahms enjoyed audience adoration almost from the beginning of his career. He was often referred to as 'little Beethoven', and time has chiselled the composer’s name into one of classical music's most powerful triumvirates: 'The 3 Bs' – Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. Anton Bruckner, on the other hand, had to work hard to achieve success and experienced it only rarely during his own lifetime.
