CORPUS SPECIAL: FOYER CONCERT

Corpus invites you to the first Danish concert with jazz stars Mark Turner and Mikkel Ploug.The duo will play an acoustic concert in the foyer of A-salen, that has unique cathedral acoustics.
Mark Turner is celebrated as one of his generation´s most influential saxophonists, with an unique personal sound and impressive ability to master the tenor saxophone.
The Danish guitarist, Mikkel Ploug, has travelled across the globe as a jazz musician with his original compositions.

In their duo concert, Turner and Ploug will present a strong melodic universe from their upcoming album ¨Faroe¨ that will be released on the legendary New York label Sunnyside Records in September 2018.

Before the concert you are invited to Corpus´s brand new dance performance ´It Finishes When It Finishes'´ by Ioannis Mandafounis. The performance combines dance, magic and the Danish premiere of the minimalistic piece ¨21 Ethiopics¨ by Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrous. The piece combines a classical approach with original Ethiopian jazz numbers to create a truly unique sound.

Your ticket is valid for both performances of ´It Finishes When It Finishes´ and the concert with Turner and Ploug.

A limited amount of tickets for the concert will also be sold at the door, for 100 dkk.
